Bummer - that is one issue with plexi-glass - it does scratch like crazy - we have lots of it on our plane - we use Pledge Furniture polish when cleaning the dust off the windshield - it fills the microscratches and the windshields glisten
I had a bit of trouble with a windshield as well - mounts kept slipping till I decided to investigate the power of Locktite - no more movement now!
Ride safe and according to HogRyder, er Keep the rubber below your head(?)
